The courtyard of our little hotel in Windsor

The courtyard of our little hotel in Windsor

The weather has turned cold!  I am now officially wearing my winter coat.  They say it is unusual to be this cold.  Today was a travel day.  We started off taking the train from Windsor (Slough) to Paddington station (London) where we took the subway over to St. Pancras train station.  We had tickets for the 12:25 Eurostar train to Paris- better known as the Chunnel.  Bruce clocked it at 190 MPH with his gps.  It took us right into Paris and we taxied it over to our hotel since we are not yet familiar with their transit system.  We are now 9 hours earlier than California instead of the 8 hours earlier in England.  So by the time we got settled in our hotel it was 5:00 pm local time.  We just went out to familiarize ourselves with the area around our hotel and get a bite to eat.  We have a fairly busy  few days here in Paris and on tomorrow’s agenda is The Louvre.  All day, most likely.  I have not been there since it is in this present building so probably the 80’s and Bruce last went there sometime in the 90’s.  So we are both looking forward to it.  Will report all tomorrow!
