We left Wolfgang and Josephine’s B & B this morning after an incredible breakfast.  I think these B& B owners go into this business because they like to cook for everyone.  It was fantastic!  Yes, Wolfgang was German but came over to England a long time ago to get his PHD in British Literature.  If anyone comes to Bath for a visit – the Athole House is the place to stay!  We got on the road opting to take the country lanes as opposed to the highways.  It was very nerve-wracking driving a stick on the wrong side of the road!  But we made it and I actually enjoyed it.  Bruce was a great navigator.  Driving through the Cotswolds was beautiful.  We arrived at Stratford Upon Avon and spent 2 hours wandering around the town and outside of town to look for Anne Hathaway’s house.  It was a very busy Sunday!  We arrived at Warwick by 3:30 and checked into our B & B before we wandered around the town. (We are doing a lot of Wandering?) We found the Mill Street gardens behind the castle and then walked over to the Rose and Crown for dinner.  The town seems to close down early on Sunday afternoons/evenings.  Can’t wait to go into Warwick Castle tomorrow!

On the road from Bath to Stratford upon Avon through the Cotswolds. Very Idyllic!
