We Love this town of Bath! It is clean and beautiful with the smells of fresh flowers and homemade soaps in the air. The people are very friendly and the history is so rich. We picked up our rental car first thing this morning and I drove a little bit just to get used to the wrong side of the road. At 10:30 every morning they give a free 2 hour city tour which was very thorough. After a little scone and coffee break we did the Roman bath tour. The rest of the day was wandering the crowded streets, window shopping, and stopping to drink and eventually eat. A totally lovely day!

The king decided to tax the citizens per window. If you had over 7 windows you were considered rich and taxed more. Less than 1 foot at the transom was considered 1 window. So this house worked it so there were only 4 windows.

Hey! Doesn’t it so make you think about the books we’ve read involving the life of the people in old England Bath – love it!! You had beautiful weather. Mom and I had rain the whole day! Lucky you! I’m so happy for you and that you are doing this. Isn’t the blog fun?

The blog is fun. There is more of a purpose taking all these pictures. I will try to get more food pictures. We are going to France today and it is really expensive to eat there so I probably won’t be taking too many food shots there.
