We Love this town of Bath!  It is clean and beautiful with the smells of fresh flowers and homemade soaps in the air.  The people are very friendly and the history is so rich.  We picked up our rental car first thing this morning and I drove a little bit just to get used to the wrong side of the road.  At 10:30 every morning they give a free 2 hour city tour which was very thorough.  After a little scone and coffee break we did the Roman bath tour.  The rest of the day was wandering the crowded streets, window shopping, and stopping to drink and eventually eat.  A totally lovely day!

The king decided to tax the citizens per window. If you had over 7 windows you were considered rich and taxed more. Less than 1 foot at the transom was considered 1 window. So this house worked it so there were only 4 windows.
